Hi—We hope that you enjoy your time with us. If we can be of any assistance to you during your stay please don’t hesitate to ask.
Your bedroom and bathroom are private for your use while you are here, and you are welcome to share the rest of the living space and garden with us.

We’ll leave a light breakfast laid out for you in the conservatory, and there is a fridge for AirBnB guests in the utility room, just off the conservatory. There you’ll find semi-skimmed milk, yoghurt, fruit juice, fresh fruit and butter.
We are usually around between 8.30am and 9.30 am if you need any assistance.
In winter and cooler days we try to keep the conservatory warm for breakfast from 8.30am until 10am. If you plan to eat breakfast earlier or later we’ll make sure it is cosy for you. Just let us know, either in person or via the app, by 10pm the night before
If you would like a cooked breakfast – sausage, eggs, bacon, haggis, black pudding – just ask – either in person or via the app, by 10pm the night be
GETTING TO TOWN
We highly recommend the ‘Transport For Edinburgh’ app. Download it then set your ‘home’ to EH5 2AN’ and you’ll get directions home wherever you are.
The number 8 & 9 buses run from Granton Road, just over 200m walk from the house. Buses run roughly every 10 minutes or so.
Or you can get a number 27. Turn right up Fraser Crescent, left onto Boswall Drive, then the bus stop is on the right on Ferry Road.
Buses accept contactless payments – see www.lothianbuses.com/contactless/. You’ll pay the single ticket price for each journey but it will be capped at the day-ticket cost for unlimited journeys. Note you need to use a different card for each person for this to work.
Current prices are: £2 single fare, £4.80 day-ticket for unlimited journeys on buses and trams. If you are using cash you need exact change.
There is much more information about finding local bus stops on our website
Useful black cab numbers:
City Cabs 0131 228 1211
Central Taxis 0131 229 2468
Uber —around 10 minutes to town costing between £10 and £12.
GETTING HOME FROM TOWN
Once again, we highly recommend the ‘Transport For Edinburgh’ app. Download it then set your ‘home’ to EH5 2AN’ and you’ll get directions home wherever you are.
The 9 and 27 both come through Edinburgh city centre, down The Mound and over Princes Street.
The 8 comes through the east end of the city centre, down North Bridge and Leith Street.
Bus numbers 8 & 9
After turning right at the Edinburgh Tabernacle into Granton Road, get off the bus at the third stop. The stop is labelled “Boswall Green”. On alighting the bus, go left back up Granton Road to the shops. Turn right into Boswall Green, then left into Fraser Crescent. Our white bungalow is on the right hand side at number 8.
Bus number 27
After passing the Edinburgh Tabernacle, get off at the second stop—labelled “Boswall Drive”. Cross the road at the traffic island and turn down Boswall Drive. Continue down until you reach Fraser Crescent on your right. Head down Fraser Crescent until you reach our white bungalow at number 8.
Let us know if you have any laundry to do, or if you need to borrow an iron……or anything else!
TEA AND COFFEE
There are tea and coffee making facilities in your bedroom. Let us know if you need more of anything.
Help yourself to towels in the shower-room. If you need any washed during your stay just leave them outside the door.
We’ll give you a front door key so you can come and go as you please. Leave it on the hook when you’re in so we don’t disturb you.
Edinburgh tap water is great for drinking and we recommend that you refill bottles from the tap. We usually have a glass bottle of fresh chilled water for guests on arrival – if we forget to give it to you you’ll find it in the AirBnB fridge.
TV IN BEDROOM
The TV in your room has a built-in DVD player and there are lots of DVDs on the bottom shelf in the wardrobe. It also has a Chromecast device so you can cast your phone’s screen to the TV. Let us know if you need any help with this.
If you are too warm please use the thermostat on your bedroom radiator to reduce the temperature.
If you are too cold please let us know and we’ll do our best to warm things up (either in-person or on the App).
Note that we don’t have the heating on overnight.
Let us know when you expect to leave and we’ll make sure that we are around to say goodbye.
If you have enjoyed your stay it would be nice if you could sign our guest book which is on the breakfast table.
We would also value an AirBnB review and we will do one for you as guests.
Great reviews are really important to us and if we have fallen short on any aspect of your stay please let us know so that we can rectify it.
